One thing that a lot of home owners wishing for a Quick Property Sale wonder about is if it is worth altering their property prior to putting it up for sale. This might be particularly tempting if the kitchen and bathroom have become shabby and old fashioned. Here are some ideas and tips about what is and what is not worth going to the trouble of doing.
Firstly – do not think about extending the property. This will be pricely and take time delaying any possible sale so removing the prospect to Sell Property Fast. Also any extension to a property is often a personal thing and the way you decorate the extension may actually put some buyers off.
Secondly, resist the temptation to change the kitchen and bathroom. Again these are large items of work and will take up time and money before you are able to put the house up for sale. Also, there are many different designs and styles available so you would have to try to guess what style might best catch the attendtion of a buyer. In actual fact you may well choose a style unattractive to your ultimate buyer and he may want to change it again when he moves in. Needless to say he is unlikely to pay you the asking price for your house if he doesn’t like what you have done.
So what do you do if your rooms are ready for replacement? Well the best course of action is to freshen up what you already have. As a starting point do a comprehensive spring clean in both rooms. Replace or repair any damaged items, for example cupboard doors which do not close properly or taps which drip. Scrub everything out and remove any stains or sources of bad smells. Swapping shower curtains can be a good idea, but if you do, go for something plain in design and neutral in colour. In bathrooms a thorough re grouting of tiled walls usually makes a difference particularly if current grout is dirty or mouldy.
Basic redecorating of any rooms which could do with it is always a good idea. However be sensible with your choice of colour scheme. It is best to avoid wallpaper, focus instead if you can on painting and use neutral colours such as cream or beige.
Externally the same rules apply. Spruce up window frames where possible. Remove any decayed wood sections and freshen everything with a lick of paint. Repair any loose or worn soffits, bargeboards and gutters. Also spruce up any rainwater goods.
So if you are at home thinking “I want to Sell my Home fast” the tips above will improve the presentation of you property to any potential buyer and will help to get that quick house sale.

I have to agree, you can sell your house quicker if it is clean and has a recent redecoration.
